In 1971, Sainty moved from Taiwan to North Carolina as a young student at Duke University. With a love for medicine, Sainty became a respiratory therapist and moved to New Jersey in search of a blossoming career that would help her reach her dreams. She soon learned, however, that working long ho urs at a hospital somehow wasn’t the lifestyle she had imagined.
Sainty had often heard that the way to become financially independent was by building your own business. So she quit her job at the hospital and began a company of her own as the owner of a small chain of video stores. While the stores were modestly successful, Sainty did not like the long hours and time away from her family.
It was at this time that she was invited by a friend to attend a home gathering. Although hesitant, Sainty respected her friend and decided to attend. When she arrived, she found products she simply couldn’t resist. “At the time, I didn’t realize the true business potential, but after I used them, I saw they were good products and recommended them to my friends,” Sainty said. “I started building my business without even knowing I was doing it!”
After using the Nu Skin products, Sainty’s friends began noticing a change in her skin, and she began recruiting more people to her group. Soon, her business had expanded to Taiwan and Canada and now, Sainty enjoys caring for her business as she travels to Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore. She is now a Team Elite Executive, a Nourish the Children Chief Ambassador, a Nu Skin Certified Trainer, and a Certified Biophotonic Scanner operator/owner.
Although Sainty now enjoys financial stability, she has had her fair share of trials. Soon after she began working with Nu Skin, Sainty encountered some halting personal problems that set her back for five years. During this time, she was unable to actively promote her business, but never let go of the dreams that lay ahead. As a leader in the business, Sainty now shares some key advice with her team. She calls them, “The Power P’s”:
She is also a Chief Ambassador for Nourish the Childen. In June 2007 Sainty Wang was one of eight people from the United States to qualify for this once in a lifetime adventure, and one of only twelve from the worldwide ranks of NuSkin distributors.
Nu Skin Enterprises has a charitable initiative in which many of the distributors participate: Nourish the Children. NTC has built a food processing plant in Malawi, Africa where crops are purchased from the local farmers and converted into a nutritionally balanced “VitaMeal”. NuSkin customers and distributors purchase the bags of food and then donate them back to one of many causes, most often Lee Iacocca’s Feed the Children campaign.
VitaMeal bags were also shipped to the Tsunami struck neighborhoods, to New Orleans Katrina victims and to Haiti as well as meeting the needs of children around the globe. Over 350 MILLION meals have been served!
*The Million Dollar Circle refers to those independent distributors who have earned over one million dollars in bonus commissions since their involvement with Nu Skin. There are, however, no guarantees of success. Not all distributors make money. For a complete summary of distributor earnings/bonuses paid to distributors at all levels within the Sales Compensation Plan, please contact the company.
